About 50 km into the Bay of Bengal lies a vast canyon which is more than 500m. Deep. It is known as ‘Swatch of No Ground’. This remained an unexplored place until a few researchers who were working in the deep sea noticed it is a paradise for Whales & Dolphins. There are more than five species of dolphin living here. To get there you need to go first to Sundarbans Mangrove forest and from there take a sea going boat to the Swatch.,The Sundarbans is the single largest mangrove forest on the planet.

It lies on the South Western part of Bangladesh and has been declared a UNESCO World Heritage site. The forest comprises many different species of plants, birds, reptiles, and mammals and this area is also the home of the famous Royal Bengal Tiger.,You will spend three nights on a boat with shared facilities. The boats, which are specially built for cruising in the Sundarbans, are simple but comfortable.

The boat you will be having is chartered only for you. The majority of the cabins contain twin shared bunk beds, and there are shared bathroom facilities at the rear of the vessel. There will also be armed forest rangers to accompany you. In case of any kind of problem stay calm and directly discuss with your guide.

Itinerary

Day 01: Arrive Dhaka
At Bangladesh’s airport meet and greet your appointed guide and drive to your hotel. After freshening up, set out for Dhaka sightseeing including Dhaka university, Dhakeshwari Temple, Lallbag Fort, Sadarghat Water Front, and Shakari Bazar, with lots more too.  Drive back to your hotel and stay overnight.

Day 02: Dhaka – Khulna (265 Kms. / 5H 30M appx.)
After breakfast, drive and enjoy the heart of the country. On arrival, sightseeing of Khulna. Overnight in Khulna.

Day 03: Khulna – Sunderbans
Get aboard your boat early in the morning and start on the Dolphins and Whales adventure cruise through the Sunderbans mangrove forest. This first full day of forest activities includes an early morning canal cruise, jungle tracking and perhaps you will get the chance to see the Royal Bengal Tiger. Late in the afternoon return to your boat and rest overnight.

Day 04: Swatch of No Ground
Very early in the morning we transfer to a fishing boat and start cruising to ‘Swatch of No Ground’ in the Bay of Bengal. When you arrive, spot and play with the dolphins, then take a close look at some whales. Later in afternoon cruise back towards Sunderban to the mother vessel. Overnight rest after a BBQ dinner in the forest.

Day 05: Swatch of No Ground
Today cruise again to where you saw whales and dolphins; these activities will keep us busy all morning. Later in the afternoon we cruise towards the Sunderban to regain our mother vessel. Our overnight stay is in the forest.

Day 06: Sunderbans – Khulna
Today we cruise back to Khulna arriving in the evening. Overnight in Khulna.

Day 07: Khulna – Dhaka (265 Kms. / 5H 30M appx.)
After breakfast, drive to Dhaka.
On arrival, city tour of Dhaka.
Overnight in Dhaka.

Day 08: Depart Dhaka

The most common varieties are the snow trout (belonging to the carp family) and the brown trout (which has thrived since its introduction some decades ago). The best times for fishing are in spring (March to May) and fall (September to November).

This Bhutan Fishing tour will be the combination of cultural tour of the western Bhutan with the best fishing spots and areas in Bhutan. You will be doing fishing in three Rivers, Paro, Haa and Thimphu Rivers. Itinerary

Day 01 Arrive Paro
On arrival at Paro International Airport, our representative will warmly welcome & greet you. Then we will drive to Paro town for lunch. After lunch we will visit to Paro National Museum and Paron Dzong. Then we can drive along the Paro river to see which place is good for tomorrow’s fishing. Stroll around Paro town. Day 02 Paro – Haa   By Road    (64 Kms. / 2 hrs. appx.)
We will do fishing in Paro until lunch time. After lunch we will drive to Haa over Chelela Pass. The pass is the highest pass in Bhutan, where car can take us. On reaching Haa, we will visit Haa Lhakhang Karpo and Lhkhang Nagpo . Evening stroll around the Haa town. Dinner and over night stay at Haa Hotel.

Day 03 Haa – Thimphu   By Road     (104 Kms. / 3 hrs. appx.)
Today we will do Fishing in Haa River until lunchtime. After lunch we will drive to Thimphu. Evening stroll around Thimphu town. Dinner and overnight stay at Thimphu hotel.

Day 04 Thimphu
Sightseeing in Thimphu like visit to Memorial Chorten, built in 1974 in memory of third king Jigme Dorji Wangchuk and the temple inside gives good examples of tantric Buddhist and its philosophy. Mothithang mini-zoo, to see the National Animal of Bhutan (Takin). The Takin (Budorcas Taxicolor) which is the National Animal of Bhutan is attributed to a legend of the animal’s creation in Bhutan in the 15th century by Lama Drukpa Kunley. BBS tower, Nunnery – the Thangtong Dewachen nunnery was founded in 1976 by Rikey Jadrel and today it houses the sixty nuns engaged in Buddhist study and practices. Folk Heritage Museum, this Folk Heritage Museum is a showcase, the 19-century farmhouse and the living style of the Bhutanese family. Lunch will be served at Thimphu restaurant.

After lunch we will visit to tallest Buddha Statue in the world. Then we will start the hike. The hiking is more or less very easy and plain walk through the forest of Pine, Rhododendron and Oak trees. The hike will take about 1-hour 30 mins. We can see Thimphu city, Thimphu River (Wangchhu) and other adjacent towns through this hike. We can also take some fluttering prayer flags (Lungta) and hang them between two to three trees that will bring fortune, happiness and good health to every one in this world including your enemy.

Evening visit Tashi Chho Dzong, seat of the national government and the Central Monastic Body, including the summer residence of the Je Khenpo (Chief Abbot of Bhutan) and stroll around Thimphu town. Dinner and overnight stay at Thimphu Hoel.

Day 05 Thimphu
Whole day Fishing in Thimphu River.

Day 06 Thimphu – Punakha – Thimphu  (85 Kms / 3 hrs appx) (One Way)
After our breakfast, we will drive to Punakha/Wangdi. The road climbs steeply through forests of pine, hemlock spruce and rhododendrons. At Dochula Pass (3150m) you will have a breathtaking panoramic view of the Eastern Himalayan Mountain ranges. The pass is adorned with 108 small stupas and many kinds of prayer flags. Then the road descends through lush forests to the fertile valley of Punakha & Wangdi Phodrang.

On reaching Lobesa, we will visit Chhimi Lhakhang, which is located at a hilltop. The temple is known as ‘the temple of fertility’. At Punakha, visit the most beautiful dzongs in Bhutan, Punakha Dzong. Lunch will be served at Punakha. Then we will drive back to Thimphu. Evening we will visit to Bhutanese Farmhouse for overnight stay and hot stone bath with local drinks.

Day 07 Thimphu – Paro  By Road   (56 Kms. / 1 hr. appx.)
We will drive to Paro and hike to Paro Taktshang Monastery , the most famous and scared monastery in Buddhism world. Taksang means “Tiger’s Nest” named after Guru Rinpoche who reportedly flew to this site riding on the back of a flying tigress late in the 9th century. We have to walk about 2hours up steep from the road end. The trail climbs through beautiful pine forest, many of the trees festooned with Spanish moss, and an occasional grove of fluttering prayer flags. Lunch will be served at Taktshang cafeteria.

On our way back, drive to the village of Drukgyel and visit the ruins of Drukgyel Dzong, built in 1649 to commemorate the victory over Tibetan invasion and Kyichu Lhakhang, it is one of the two most sacred and the oldest temples in Bhutan, built in 7th century by Tibetan king Songtsen Gampo (the 33rd Tibetan king, who is also the manifestation of avoloketeshivara, commonly known to Bhutanese as Chenrize). Evening stroll around the Paro valley town, the valley of surpassing Beauty. Dinner and over night stay at Paro Hotel.

Day 08 Depart Paro
After our breakfast, we will drive to Paro International Airport for your onward flight. Our guide and driver will bid you farewell here at the airport. We wish you a very safe and pleasant flight for your onward destinations.

Named after Goddess Kali, this river descends in the plains and runs into Saryu River and it is known as Sharda. Kali River is a torrential river, which is, because of its secluded location, counted among the best Mahaseer fishing spots in India. Kali River in Pancheshwar is an abode to renowned Mahaseer fishes and guarantees unsurpassed opportunities to the lovers of fishing. Enhancing the delight of fishing enthusiasts, the landscape formed by the river fascinates the tourists in no time.

Rivers and lakes of Uttarakhand are brimming with fishes and the game of angling is allowed in Ghat of Saryu River and Kali Rivers in Pancheshwar. Pancheshwar is located 33 kilometres from Lohaghat and forms the border with Nepal. The place is famous for the temple of Chaumu.

Itinerary

Day 1: Delhi – Pancheswar – Camp
On the first day of our tour we will depart from Delhi at 5 am and drive to Pancheswar, which is about 12 hrs journey by car. On reaching Pancheswar, you will be welcome by our local guides who will show you our campsite. Thereafter, enjoy dinner and an overnight stay in the camp.

Day 2: Camp
On the first day of our angling tour after breakfast in the camp, we will head to the meeting point of Kali and Saryu Rivers. Here, we will fish for Mahaseer, a big mouth golden fish closely related to European Bardel and Carp. At this particular location, the record Mahaseer taken is 80lbs. After enjoying angling here for a complete day, we will return back to the camp for dinner followed by an overnight stay.

Day 3: Camp
On the second day of our tour, we will start our day quite early and leave for an early morning fishing experience. Afterwards, we will return back to the camp and have morning breakfast before proceed to our next mission i.e. rafting in Surnia River. It is a small stream that is coming in India from Nepal and has a wonderful camp-site offering an amazing camping experience near the River with fresh water. Stay overnight at Surnia junction and have a lifetime rafting and camping experience.

Day 4: Camp
Today after a light breakfast in the morning, we will proceed for another interesting rafting experience. With the help of professional rafters, we will raft till Ladiya River’s confluence and pass throw many tough, easy and challenging paths. After completing the rafting, enjoy dinner followed by a relaxing overnight stay in the camp.

Day 5: Camp
In the morning after delicious breakfast serve at the camp, we will leave for rafting, which will cross Chuka rapids (Grade 3-45 depending on the water level) in first half and in next half, it will sail through Purnagiri Gorge. Today rafting journey will surely going to add on to your adventure passion and leave you with many lifetime memories. Take pleasure of an overnight stay in the camp.

Day 6: Camp – Delhi
On the last day of our, we will have our breakfast in the morning and thereafter, leave for Delhi, which is about 430 kms away from our set camp location. On reaching Delhi, we will leave you at your preferred location with a final goodbye note.

Special Note: The golden MAHSEER is an endangered species because of poisoning/bombing by wasted commercial in the river or out of control poaching of the river by the locals. Day 08: Coorg – Bheemeshwari

Early morning drive to Pasighat. Cross the river Brahmaputra by ferry and arrive at Dibrugarh. Check-in & Overnight stay at the hotel in Dibrugarh.

Day 11: Dibrugarh – Delhi (By Flight)
Morning at leisure after breakfast in time transfer to Airport to board the flight for Delhi. On arrival in Delhi meet with the representative & transfer to the hotel for overnight stay.

Day 12: Delhi – Departure
Morning at leisure, after breakfast in time transfer to International airport to board the flight for home country.

– If quoted hotel is not available, we will provide one of a similar category and standard.
– Small deviations in the tour program are sometimes necessary, depending on weather, road conditions, flight schedules and room availability.
– In case the government changes presently applicable taxes, increase in airlines prices, fuel surcharge our rates will need to be adjusted accordingly.
– Sometimes, there is no relevance between the distance and time of travelling, as it depends upon the condition of the roads and congestion of the traffic.
– While every effort will be made to maintain the itinerary, in view of local strikes etc that are beyond our control all schedule and itineraries are subject to last moment changes.
