In addition, you will be visiting one famous Hindu pilgrimage site – Kusheswor Mahadev Temple – on your way. We will set up our camp at Nepalthok by the side of Sun Koshi, for the night.

Day 04: Nepalthok to Khurkot (1,431 m)
Then we will be cycling by the Sun Koshi beachside in BP highway, while enjoying the beautiful scenery. We will be cycling for 35 kilometers, and will have our lunch on the way. We will reach Khurkot in about four hours and set our camp by the Sun Koshi river side.

Day 05: Khurkot to Jhagare (1,418 m)
This is the day, the trekking part of the package ends, next you will be running on Sun Koshi. So, after breakfast,we will pack our bags and reach our put-in point at Khurkot and start to paddle towards Jhagare. When you enter the water, you will find that the waters are quite calm and paddling is easy but slowly the water currents of Sun Koshi increase, and you have to pay attention to paddling. The highlights for this day are the exciting and challenging rapids – Meat Grinder (Class IV-), Punch (Class IV-), Judy (Class III), Pre-anxiety (Class III) and High-anxiety (Class IV-). Camping will be at Jhagre for the night.

Day 06: Jhagre to Phiure Camp (Raighat (268 m)
Day eight will test our team spirit, as we will come across the legendary Harkapur I and II (class V-) rapids. After some paddling, you will see Dudh Koshi join Sun Koshi. Depending on the season and Sun Koshi water levels, the rapids may or may not be runnable. We’ll assess the situation carefully and make a decision, making sure that all of us are safe. After crossing many rapids, we will reach Phiure Camp, where we will set our camp and spend the night there.

Day 07: Phiure Camp to Rasuwaghat
The main highlight of this day’s rafting is the rapid “Rhino Rock” (Class IV rapid). True to its name, this rapid looks like the horn of a rhinoceros. The way you pass this rapid depends on the level of water and decision by the guide. We will set up our camp for the night at Rasuwaghat by the Sun Koshi riverside.

Day 08: Rasuwaghat to Waterfall
As we continue rafting down the river, we will enter tropical vegetation. Sun Koshi becomes narrower, and we will be passing through a region referred as “Jungle Corridor” which is full of continuous rapids. As we move ahead, we come across a series of waterfalls – unspoilt and serene. This day’s camp will be near to the beautiful Waterfall by the side of Sun Koshi.

Day 09: Waterfall to Tribeni
After breakfast, we will start rafting in Sun Koshi again, this time from Waterfall to Tribeni. The waters of Sun Koshi are calmer now. You can relax as you pass through smaller waves. However, on the way, you will come across two exciting rapids – Big Dipper (Class IV) followed by Blackhole (class III). Soon, Arun and Tamur mix with Sun Koshi at Tribeni (which means confluence of three rivers in Nepali). A total of seven rivers has now joined Sun Koshi, which is now called Sapta Koshi (which in Nepali means seven rivers/Koshi). Our camp at that day will be at Tribeni.

Day 10: Chatara (153 m) then drive to Mulghat Tamur (417 m)
After a filling breakfast, we start paddling down the river. On the way, lies the famous Hindu temple of Baraha. The landscape looks mesmerising. After an hour long paddling you will reach Chatara. From Chatara, we will be driving to Mulghat to get to Tamur river to extend the rafting trip. This section of Tamur is full of continuous rapids that you would not want to miss. Hence, we have included Tamur as a part of this expedition. Overnight camp will be by the Tamur riverside.

Day 11: Mulghat Tamur to Tribeni
This day, we will paddle on Tamur river to reach Tribeni, one more time. We will be passing through thirty exciting continuous rapids on this section; the most notable ones are – Ashram(class IV +), Hell Hole(class IV) and Bat Below (class IV). We will be setting up our camp for that day at Tribeni, by the side of Sun Koshi.

Day 12: Tribeni to Chatara and to Kathmandu
After breakfast, you will raft for some time until you reach the famous Baraha temple, once more. We will spend some time sightseeing; then we will paddle to Chatara – our final put out point. We will have our lunch at a local restaurant.

From Chatara, we will take a private bus and drive for about 14 to 15 hours to reach Kathmandu. We will stop our bus on the way for dinner at a Nepali restaurant. You can choose to stay at Chitwan National Park to enjoy the wildlife. There is one more option; you may go to Biratnagar from Chatara and then fly to Kathmandu.

Tamur is not readily available, hence to enjoy this river, you need to trek for about four days. However, you will not be disappointed, the trek in itself is equally exciting. You will be treading on narrow dirt tracks that join one typical village to another. The whole region is sparsely populated, and only a small portion of land serves for agriculture. You can view the glory of Mt. Kanchanjunga from the trekking routes.

The Tamur river has some 120 rapids within its rafting length of 131 kilometres. The initial parts of Tamur are tough. This river is for experienced guides and rafters/ kayakers, and you need to be very careful because there have been several fatalities recorded in this river. This river is very challenging and if you are looking for a huge adrenaline surge – Tamur is the river for you!

Day 01: Basantapur
We will either fly to Biratnagar (80 m) from Tribhuvan International Airport or drive to Basantapur. If you choose to fly, it will take about 45 minutes to reach Biratnagar, then from Biratnagar, we will take you to Basantapur by bus.

Please note – If you prefer to fly, you must mention this to our office personnel while booking for the expedition. Biratnagar is the second biggest city of Nepal and is located near the south-eastern border to India.

Day 02: Chauki
Our expedition will begin with a trek from Basantapur to Chauki, which takes around 4 to 5 hours. The trail is quite challenging, and we will employ porters to carry your personal gear bags. The guides will show you the way. By the time, we reach Chauki; we will be exhausted. In Chauki, we will be staying in a local tea house where we will enjoy our dinner too.

Day 03: Gupha Pokhari (2,900 m)
After breakfast, we will resume our trekking. After about 4 to 5 hours, we will reach Gupha Pokhari. Gupha Pokhari is a lake at the height of 2,900 metres and lies in Sankhuwasabha district.

The trail to Gupha Pokhari is equally fascinating; you will be witnessing beautiful landscape and diverse cultures. If you take this trip during the March to June season, you will get to experience different varieties of rhododendron in full bloom. From your trail, you will also be able to enjoy the views of Mt. Kanchanjunga (world’s third highest mountain, at 8,586 m) and Mt. Everest (world’s highest mountain, at 8,848 m). We will spend our night at Gupha Pokhari in our camp.

Day 04: Gorja (1,925 m)
After a hearty breakfast, we will continue our trek forwards, from Gupha Pokhari to Gorja. You will be amazed by the varieties of flora and fauna, you will see on the way. You will also have an opportunity to observe some of the most remote rural settlements in Nepal, and perhaps in the world. We will be staying at Gorja in our camp for the night.

Day 05: Dovan (730 m)
This is the final day of trekking. We will start from Gorja and reach Dovan in about 3 hours and set up our camp there. We will be spending our day for much-needed rest and prepare for running on Tamur, the next day.

Day 06: Kabeli Khola
By now, we will have trekked for 4 days; today the much-anticipated part of the Expedition – rafting starts. We will get to Kabeli Khola (River is called Khola in Nepali) from Dovan. We will prepare all the necessary gears, and the professional rafters will brief you on the safety measures. This day we will encounter some challenging white water rapids like House Rock (Class IV), Pariah Dog (Class IV+), Hodson’s Sandwich (Class IV+), Hodson’s Last Rite (Class IV+) while paddling for about 25 kilometres in Kabeli Khola. We will camp at a beach by the banks of Kabeli for that day.

Day 07: Hinwa Khola
We will raft to Hinwa Khola from Kabeli. The rapids become more challenging right from the beginning, but the rapids decrease in frequency once we cross the Limbu Bridge. While rafting we will come across white sandy beaches, blue water and sparsely populated area. We might be seeing more monkeys than people. As we raft downwards, we will see lower mountain regions. This region is near to Koshi Tappu Wildlife Reserve (75 m – 81 m). Hence you get to see various varieties of birds. Koshi Tappu is home to around 500 bird species. We will stop by the sandy beaches and set up our camp.

Day 08: Limbhu Khola
After breakfast, we will start rafting from Hinwa Khola to reach Limbhu Khola. At first, the river is flat and therefore we can loosen ourselves a bit and enjoy the landscape. Interested Kayakers may kayak in this region. On our way, we will be encountering few Class II or III rapids. Over the river, we will occasionally see suspension bridges. We will be spending that night in the Camp, by the side of Limbhu Khola.

Day 09: Mulghat (203 m)
By this day, we will have rafted for four days on some of the most exciting and vigorous rapids. So, on this day, we will get a chance to relax a bit. As we raft, we will be passing only a few small rapids. In around four hours, we will reach Mulghat from Limbhu Khola. We will spend the night at Mulghat.

Day 10: Tribeni
The next day, we will paddle on Tamur River to reach Tribeni (Tribeni means confluence of three rivers in Nepali.) On our way, we will be passing through 30 exciting continuous rapids; the most notable ones are – Ashram (Class IV+), Hell Hole (Class IV) and Bat Below (Class IV). We will be setting up our camp for that day at Tribeni, by the side of Sun Koshi.

Day 11: Chatara to Kathmandu
After breakfast, we will raft until we reach the famous Hindu temple of Baraha. We will spend some time sightseeing, and then paddle to Chatara – our final put out point. From Chatara transfer to Biratnagar and take flight to Kathmandu.
On arrival, transfer to the hotel.
Overnight in Kathmandu.

Day 12: Kathmandu
After breakfast, you can go for last minute souvenir shopping, again if you require, our guides will recommend the best places to buy souvenirs from. In the evening, you will have a farewell dinner with our office representatives (along with guides) in a typical Nepali restaurant. We will drop you back to your hotel.

Day 13: Depart Kathmandu
Transfer to airport for flight to onward destination.

Beginning from Guwahati, this escapade takes you to the appealing hill station of Shillong, where you get to explore the sacred forests of Mawphlang and mingle with the people of the namesake village. The views from the summit of Shillong Peak, at approximately 6500 feet above sea level, will leave you spellbound. After Shillong, you visit the tiny village of Mawlynnong, famed as Asia’s cleanest village, and Rawai, known for a living root bridge. The third day of Meghalaya caving adventure ends with you reaching Dawki town and spending the night in a camp on the banks of the Goyain River. Next day, you get to indulge in kayaking and zip lining.

During your time in Cherrapunjee, credited as the wettest place in the world, you get the opportunity to explore caves. Caving in Meghalaya is one of the fastest growing adventure activities, gaining fame among locals as well as tourists. A 3-hour venture in the Krem Mawmluh will get you crawling, climbing and crossing river passages. On the next day, explore the surroundings of Cherrapunjee by going for a trek. Trekking in Meghalaya is popular, owing to the existence of living root bridges. Here, you will even get to see the double decker living root bridges.

Day 01: Guwahati to Shillong (100 km | 3-4 hours)
After pickup from Lokpriya Gopinath Bordoloi International Airport, begin the adventurous road trip. Your first destination on this jaunt is Shillong. On reaching the charming hill station, transfer to the hotel to spend the night.

Day 02: Sightseeing in Shillong
On this day, get to explore the serene surroundings of Shillong, starting with the forests of Mawphlang. Considered sacred since time immemorial, the jungle is home to diverse species of trees, some of which are even more than 1000 years old. Here, you can pay respect to the sacred groves and seek blessings for the Meghalaya adventure trip ahead.

During your time in Mawphlang village, get the chance to interact with the Khasi people and learn about their culture and traditions. It is one of the last villages in Meghalaya that has kept its heritage intact for centuries. On your way back to the hill station, halt at the famous Shillong Peak. Rising to an altitude of almost 6500 feet, the peak is the highest point in Shillong. While here, capture panoramic views of the verdant hill station. Have lunch, and later watch Siat Khnam, a traditional Khasi archery game. After the game, retreat to the hotel and enjoy a good night’s sleep.

Day 03: Shillong – Mawlynnong – Dawki (100 km | 4 hours)
Post breakfast, this amazing tour takes you to Mawlynnong – famed as the cleanest village in Asia. This small, quaint establishment, laden with colourful flowers, has less than 100 households. Strolling around the village, you get the chance to mingle with the warm and hard-working locals.

After soaking in the tranquillity of the place, walk to the nearby village of Riwai to marvel at the fascinating living root bridges that are endemic to only this part of the world. These bridges have been a major aid for the local people in crossing rivers and narrow streams. Later, continue the journey to Dawki town and spend the night in your camp beside the gushing Goyain River.

Day 04: Adventure Activities near Dawki
In the morning, head to the pristine Umngot River to enjoy kayaking. Use the paddle to traverse the sparkling river. As you float over the surface of the water, your eyes will be treated to mesmerising views of the lush surroundings. If you feel tired, you can just jump into the river and enjoy a few laps.

In the latter half of the day, indulge in the thrill of zip lining. The landscape will look even more captivating when you are flying tens of feet above it. Spend the evening beside a bonfire, sharing stories with your friends, and then have a good night’s sleep in the comfortable tents.

Day 05: Leisure Time in Dawki | Dawki to Cherrapunjee (85 km | 4 hours)
You can make use of the day by going for a swim or country boat ride to enjoy the waters of the river for one last time. In the afternoon, embark on a road trip to Cherrapunjee. On reaching the town, transfer to the hotel and rest.

Day 06: Caving Trip to Krem Mawmluh
Today, you get to enjoy the thrill and excitement of caving in Meghalaya. Krem Mawmluh, one of the longest caves in India, is known for stalagmites and stalactites formations. The cavern runs for about 7000 metres in the Khasi Hills. The cave contains several river passages, pools that can be waist deep and sections where explorers have to crawl or climb.

A 45-minute trek around Cherrapunjee will take you to the mouth of the Krem Mawmluh, from where your Meghalaya caving adventure begins. Put on your safety gear and venture into the cave for a 3-hour journey of climbing, crawling and swimming. An expert guide will lead you into the intriguing world of stalagmites and stalactites. After caving Krem Mawmluh, travel back to the hotel and enjoy a refreshing sleep.

Day 07: Trek to Double Decker Root Bridges
Trekking in the surroundings of Cherrapunjee, you get the opportunity to admire the lush landscape from close. The highlight of the trek are the double decker living root bridges, found only in Meghalaya. The living root bridges are a marvel in themselves, and the double decker ones are exceptionally astonishing. These bridges are believed to be able to support the weight of tens of people, and crossing rivers through them will surely be a unique and worthwhile experience for you. Read more about these bridges here.

The trek takes you on steep slopes and to numerous natural ponds. Those, who wish to take a dip in the emerald waters of the ponds can go ahead and lose all the exhaustion of the trek. On this trail, you descend about 2500 feet to reach a placid valley and ascend the same height. Later, conclude this trekking in Meghalaya experience and retreat to the hotel in Cherrapunjee to spend the night.

Day 08: Cherrapunjee to Guwahati (150 km | 4.5 hours)/ Depart Guwahati
The relentless oceans and the long waterways, wandering aimlessly, and the savage rapids have dependably been intimidating. But, there are those globe-trotters that ace the waters through different methods, and kayaking is one of these. In one style of kayak, the paddler looks ahead with their legs before them underneath a deck, and use a twofold bladed oar. Another style is the sit on top kayak. Most kayaks have a long front and back deck and differ as indicated by the sort of water they are intended for. Sea or ocean kayaking is regularly done in the vast ocean, while whitewater kayaking is done in the rapids.

Kayaking tours in Kerala come in diverse structures all through the world. Kayaking fans regularly take part in whale viewing, for instance. Getting a look at a white whale or a humpback whale can be a vital lifetime adventure. Some kayakers have even had the chance to go kayaking close by orcas, or executioner whales. In a kayak, you can investigate the uncommon wildness of the sea in its fullest magnificence. Having your own kayaking adventure expands mindfulness about the earth, the biological community and the need to protect it.

Day 01: Cochin – Alleppey
Today, you will be meeting up with your kayaking guide at Alleppey who will brief you about safety measures and other responsibilities. You will then start paddling through the palm fringed waterways and countryside into the interiors of the backwaters. With the quiet villages on either side, you can watch the peaceful village folks, smiling children on their way to school, farmers hard at work and of course the chirping water birds. We will cross a few small wooden canoes on the way, laden with people, home appliances, vegetables, fish or even livestock which are being transported from one place to another. After a picnic lunch en-route at a beautiful location, you will paddle on to a small family owned resort.

Day 02: Pulinkunnu
Today, you will kayak through the narrow canals of Pulinkunnu to the island of Kavalam, an erstwhile headquarters of affluent agrarian families. The majestic homes that you come across here stand in testimony to their grandeur past. It is an excellent opportunity to see village life at close quarters with the local people who are engaged in farming, fishing, duck rearing and shell collection. You may also see the traditional toddy tappers at work on coconut palms. Toddy shops are the local “bars” and it is the traditional meeting place for men after a grueling day at work. You will stop for lunch at a beautiful coconut grove on a bund on the lakeshore and continue kayaking till you cruise into the beautiful heritage home where a delicious Kuttanadan dinner awaits you followed by a well-deserved rest. In the evening, you can walk to a nearby market and enjoy the serenity of village life.

Day 03: Pulinkunnu
This day of your Kayaking in Kerala, you will depart after breakfast and continue paddling through the tranquil backwaters. You will make a stopover at a local tea shop or a spice garden that borders the backwaters. You can have a nice picnic lunch on the banks of the Vattakayal Lake. After lunch, you will continue kayaking through small canals back to the backwater heritage villa.

Day 04: Muhamma
