Day 01: Arrival and transfer Hwange National Park.
Arrival and Transfer to Hwange National Park – Night Game Drive
Upon arrival at the Airport, you will be met by your guide/driver and transferred to Hwange Safari lodge – only two hours’ drive in tarred roads.

After check in, we will embark on a late afternoon game drive in the Hwange Safari Lodge estate which borders the Hwange national park – there are no fences between the main park and this estate. This is a three hours’ drive which extends well into the night and there are good chances of encountering the big cats

Day 02: Safari in the Hwange National Park
After breakfast your guide will pick you up for the full day safari in the Hwange National park using the Main Camp gate. Mineral water, soft drinks, picnic lunch and lots of refreshments will be provided and we use any one of the many viewing platforms that dot the park for lunch. We will be back at the lodge at around 16.00 hours.

The elephants of Hwange are world famous and the Park’s elephant population is one of the largest in the world. The park is home to over 65,000 elephants who in the dry season dominate all the water points in the afternoons. Other animals that can be seen in the park are lion, leopard, cheetah, rhino, buffalo, impala, kudu, sable, eland, waterbuck, zebra, giraffe, baboon, warthog and a lot more.

Day 03: Safaris in the Hwange National Park
Hwange provides a safari experience to rival the great parks of East Africa – the Serengeti and Masai Mara – but without the crowds. You will have another fun-filled day in the park – now looking for your favorite animal or bird and even ignoring the other now common species. On a good day you may even return to the lodge earlier as you will have seen all there is to be seen.

Day 04: Road Transfer from Hwange NP to Victoria Falls
After Breakfast, transfer will be transferred to Victoria Falls (195KM) in air-conditioned vans – a 2 hour trip.

After check-in, we will head to the Victoria Falls, via the big baobab tree for the guided tour, The walk on this 2KM stretch lasts for about two hours and, nothing prepares the visitor for the heart-stopping experience, the sight, the sound, the smell and the humbling feeling that here is, without doubt, nature`s true masterpiece. Mineral water and return transfers are included.

We will pass by the Open Curio Markets for your souvenir shopping.

At 16.00 hours, you will be transferred to the jetty for the relaxing Zambezi River sun set cruise. Relax with a sun-downer and snacks as you gaze out onto the banks of the river. Have your camera ready to capture one of the amazing sunsets in Africa. This is a 2-hour boat trip includes all drinks, snacks and return transfers. Expect to be back at the hotel at about 19.00 hours.

Day 06: Transfer to the Airport
This will be your last day in Victoria Falls and Airport Transfer Times will depend on your flight times.

Day 01: Victoria Falls
Meet your driver/guide on the first day of this trip and take part in a short briefing before heading for the Victoria Falls. You can explore the town of Victoria Falls if you want to. Enjoy a sundowner cruise on the Zambezi River later in the evening.

Check into your hotel for your overnight stay.

Day 02: Victoria Falls & Hwange National Park
Check out of your hotel after breakfast. We will pick you up from the hotel and drive you to the Victoria Falls, one of the natural wonders of the world. Enjoy a guided tour of the falls on the Zimbabwean side.

Head for Tuskers Campsite or similar near Hwange National Park after the sightseeing tour is over. Check into the camp on arrival and help set up the camp before enjoying your lunch. Next on the itinerary is a game drive.

Return to your camp after the game drive is over in the evening and have your dinner.

Day 03: Hwange National Park: Game drive & free time
Wake up for an early morning game drive followed by brunch in the camp. You have time to relax after you are done with the meal. Optional activities are available for today. Enjoy your dinner around the campfire sharing the day’s experiences before it is time to go to bed.

Day 04: Hwange National Park – Matobo National Park
Help dismantle the camp after breakfast and check out of the camp. Drive to Bulawayo. Help set up the camp on arrival at the campsite in or near Bulawayo. Enjoy a quick lunch. You are free for the rest of the day. Optional activities are available in the afternoon on request. Dinner will be served around the campfire late in the evening.

Day 05: Matobo National Park – Burkes Paradise – camp
Leave your camp after an early morning breakfast and head for Matobo National Park. Here you have the opportunity to see the endangered black rhino and visit the final resting place of Cecil John Rhodes, who died in Muizenberg, Cape Town.

Despite the fact that the Boer War was raging at around the time of Rhodes’ death, his body was sent on an epic railway journey through the war-torn South Africa to Rhodesia to be laid to rest at this spot. Return to the camp late in the afternoon. Enjoy your dinner and settle in your camp for the night.

Day 06: Matobo National Park – Masvingo
Dismantle the camp after an early morning breakfast and prepare for departure. Today, we will head for Masvingo, home to the Great Zimbabwe Ruins. Help set up the camp on arrival, have lunch and then head out to see the famous ruins.

Once Zimbabwe’s capital, the ancient city of Great Zimbabwe is the biggest and most significant stone archaeological complex in sub-Saharan Africa, second only to South Africa’s Mapungwe, and is thought to date back to the 11th century.

Composed entirely of rectangular granite blocks stacked on top of one another without the use of mortar, the walls and towers of the city measure up to 12 metres in places. Great Zimbabwe was designated a Unesco World Heritage site in 1986. You can look forward to wandering through these ancient stone structures and getting immersed in the history of this important heritage site.

Return to your camp later in the evening, enjoy your dinner and go to sleep.

Day 07: Masvingo – Gonarezhou National Park
Dismantle the camp after breakfast and start your journey to Chipinda Pools, located in Gonarezhou National Park. You will arrive in time for lunch at a camp before heading for an afternoon game drive in Gonarezhou National Park.

Gonarezhou, meaning ‘the place of elephants’, is Zimbabwe’s second-largest national park and home to over 10,000 elephants. The park extends across a vast area of floodplains, baobab-dotted scrubland, mopane woodland and pale orange sandstone cliffs.

Here you have the chance to see four of Africa’s big five, including elephants, leopards, lions and buffalos, as well as a variety of other animal and bird species. You will camp in an unfenced campsite for a truly close encounter with the spectacular wildlife at the park. Other highlights include seeing the beautiful Chilojo Cliffs towering over the scenic Runde River Valley and bird watching.

Return to your camp in the evening for your dinner and overnight stay.

Day 08: Gonarezhou National Park: Sunrise game drive
Return to your camp after an early morning game drive and enjoy your brunch. You have some time to rest and relax after that. There is an optional game drive after lunch around Chipinda Pools Camp.

This camp is located high up on the banks of the Runde River and offers views over extensive reed beds frequented by elephants. The riverine fringe provides excellent birding and with some luck one might get to see one of the resident Pel’s fishing owls.

Animals in the vicinity of the camp include groups of nyalas, kudus, impalas and elephants. Chipinda Pools Camp was completed in July 2012 through funding provided by the Frankfurt Zoological Society as part of the Gonarezhou Conservation Project.

Day 09: Gonarezhou National Park – Eastern Highlands
Check out of the camp after breakfast and make your way to Zimbabwe’s Eastern Highlands. This is the mountainous range in the eastern part of Zimbabwe. Have lunch on arrival at your camp and enjoy some leisure time.

You can also take part in some optional activities if you want to. These activities include visiting the local school and orphanage where donations are welcome. Dinner will take place around the campfire.

Day 10: Explore Eastern Highlands
Leave the camp after breakfast on a scenic drive to Vumba to visit its botanical gardens. The Vumba Botanical Gardens and Reserve were established on a portion of the farm formerly known as Manchester.

The well-wooded park includes landscaped gardens built around perennial streams which form a small lake. A network of footpaths enable you to explore the interior of the reserve that is endowed with indigenous orchids, ferns and strategically positioned flower beds. Birdlife is also abundant here.

Go back to camp for lunch. You are free for the rest of the day.

Day 11: Eastern Highlands – Nyanga National Park
Check out of the camp after breakfast and travel to Nyanga. Help set up the camp on arrival at the campsite close to Nyanga National Park before having your lunch. This national park is home to a multitude of scenic rivers, refreshing streams and breathtaking waterfalls.

The park boasts both Zimbabwe’s highest mountain peak and its highest waterfall. The elevated altitude provides a cool and pleasant climate and fresh mountain air, perfect for rest, relaxation and plenty of outdoor adventures. The mountainous terrain and fresh water sources offer excellent opportunities for fly fishing, sailing, canoeing, swimming and hiking.

You are likely to encounter a variety of fascinating wildlife during your stay here, including kudus, zebras, impalas, sables, and elands. Dinner will be served around the campfire.

The best time to visit Nyanga National Park is from November to April. The weather is at its best in this area between April to September (it hardly ever rains during these months).

Day 12: Nyanga National Park – Harare
Check out of the campsite and continue your journey to Harare after breakfast. You will check in at Bronte Garden Hotel (or similar) on reaching Zimbabwe’s capital city. You have the afternoon free for yourself to explore the city on your own or take part in optional activities.

Harare is the country’s most cosmopolitan destination, dotted with restaurants, bars, shops and markets. Its proud historical and cultural heritage is reflected in several old, well-preserved buildings and informative museums. Many parks and gardens provide a pleasant contrast to the bustling urban sector.

You may visit the Mukuvisi Woodlands, a natural wilderness; or Kopje, a rocky hill located in the southwest of the city. Other highlights include the National Gallery of Zimbabwe, the Zimbabwe Museum of Human Sciences, Chapungu Sculpture Park and the National Botanic Garden of Zimbabwe.

Day 13: Harare departure
Check out of the hotel. Get your airport departure transfer.You will have to reach the airport at least two hours before the flight. Leaving you with good memories of the best that Zimbabwe has to offer.

Day 01: Arrival in Victoria Falls
Upon your arrival in Victoria Falls, you will be met by our Vayeni representative who will escort you to your hotel / lodge and ensure a smooth check-in. Your afternoon is at leisure in order to recover from your travels. At 19:00 you will be collected for the African experience at the Boma, a traditional dining event with entertainment

Day 02: Explore Victoria Falls
Today you will visit the mighty Victoria Falls with a guide who will collect you late morning from your hotel. In the late afternoon you will enjoy a special sunset cruise on the Zambezi river, inclusive of drinks, snacks and guide. Overnight at hotel.

Day 03: Journey to the Wilderniss
After breakfast you will be collected for your road transfer to Hwange. The journey will take approximately 3.5 to 4 hours and is by tarred road for the first 2,5 hours and the last part of the journey is on dirt road in a 4×4 vehicle. You will arrive at the lodge in time for a late lunch. This afternoon you will explore the area in a safari vehicle and have sun-downers in a magical place in wildlife territory.

Day 04: Full day Safari
Today you will start early in order to get the best safari experience while tracking footprints from the animals that where active during the night. You will spend a lot of time in the bush today and soak-up the wilderness that surrounds you

Day 05: Full day Safari
Another day in Hwange National Park. You can choose whether you like an early start again and either walk with a professional guide, tracking animals or cover larger distances by taking a game drive. Besides the game drive and walks, there are other options available to explore and watch the wildlife, like a platform sit in the trees or underground hide. You can even relax at the lodge/camp and watch the animals drink and play in the waterhole.

Day 06: End of your Safari
Today you will be transferred back to Victoria Falls for your onwards journey or flight back home.

Day 01: Arrival in Victoria Falls
Upon arrival in Victoria Falls you will be welcomed by a Vayeni representative who will introduce you to your driver. The driver will take you on a one hour journey to the luxury camp, positioned in the Zambezi National Park. You have time to refresh before afternoon tea and your late afternoon activity to soak up the peace and tranquility of the bush and the river.

Day 02: The Zambezi
Your next two days in the park are tailored to your liking. There are a wide variety of activities available ranging from fishing, canoeing, birding, walking, game drive and a visit to Victoria Falls town and the waterfall. You can spend your days being busy on the water and on land or you may choose to relax from the deck of your luxury tented suite or enjoy the view from your private plunge pool.

Day 03: The Time is yours
Another magical day on the river. Do what you like, the guides and camp manager are available 24/7 to meet your needs and advise you on suitable activities

Day 04: Flight over the Zambezi
After a scrumptious breakfast you will be transferred to Victoria Falls Airport where your light aircraft awaits you to fly you over the Zambezi gorge to lake Kariba. This is scenic flight is magic and ensure that you have your camera at hand. Upon landing on the private airstrip of Bumi Hills, which is often popular by game, your guide will drive you up the hill to the lodge.
After check-in, lunch will be served on the restaurant deck overlooking the lake and the various islands. In the late afternoon you will explore the area by safari vehicle or by boat.

Day 05: The Tonga People
This part of Zimbabwe is the most remote part of the country and home to the Tonga people who believe in the power of the Nyami Nyami, their river God. The majority of the staff at the lodge are from the rural area of Mola and they would love to show you their culture. In the morning you can go on a village visit while in the afternoon you can be on the lake enjoying a sun downer cruise or even have a spa treatment

Day 06: The diversity of the Safari
The Matusadona area is diverse and you may like to go on a walk or hike with the professional guide, tracking animals or climbing rocks and looking for bushman rock paintings. Fishing is also a big part of Lake Kariba and home of the fighting Tiger fish and for those who have never fished in their lives, this is a good chance to give it a try.

Day 07: Flight back to Victoria Falls
Today after a leisurely breakfast you will fly back to Victoria Falls (or Harare) for your flight back home or onward journey.

Day 01: Harare International Airport – Mana Pools National Park.
On arrival at Harare airport you will be met and connect by private charter onto Ruckomechi Camp in the Mana Pools National Park. On arrival you will be able to relax in your luxury tent at Ruckomechi Camp. Ruckomechi is situated on the banks of the Zambezi River and has stunning views.

The area: is renowned for large numbers of elephant, buffalo, hippo and eland, especially in the winter when they concentrate along the river. Predators such as lion, leopard and wild dog are all found in the area. Birdlife is superb, particularly for both mopane woodland and riverine species with numerous local specials like Collared Palm-Thrush, Racket-tailed Roller, Purple-banded Sunbird and Black-throated Wattle-Eyes.

Activities at Ruckomechi Camp include wildlife viewing in open 4×4 vehicles, on motorised pontoon boats, on foot and in canoes.

Day 02: Mana Pools
You will be able to enjoy a full days safari activities. Game drives explore the woodland, open plains and river banks. Mana is well known for its elephant which stand on their hind legs to reach the trees. As well as elephant Mana has excellent populations of buffalo, lion, leopard, giraffe, eland and more.

Day 03: Mana Pools
Another full day of safari activities. You may wish to go on a walking safari or take a boat trip on the river to enjoy the crocodiles and hippos. Mana has some wonderful birdlife with colourful species such as malachite kingfishers, saddle billed storks, spoonbills, carmine bee-eaters (in September and October) and more.

Day 04: Mana Pools
After a morning at Ruckomechi Camp you will join your Mana Canoe Trail. You’ll start with a gentle afternoon paddle downstream. As you paddle your guides will point out animals and birds for you and there will be plenty of opportunity to take photographs. Arriving at your camp at night you’ll find simple dome tents, bucket showers and a roaring campfire. After dinner under the stars you can retire and rest your weary arms for the night!

Day 05: Mana Pools
On a typical canoe trail the paddling isn’t normally too strenuous with 2-3 hours in the morning and about the same in the afternoon. In the morning you may stop for tea and a short walk, and at lunch time you’ll break for a picnic and a snooze under a tree.

Day 06: Mana Pools
You have another full day on the Mana Canoe Trail, exploring the river and waterways and stopping for coffee, lunch and a snooze on the river banks. The canoe trail is a wild trip and for the adventurous. However, if you enjoy a wild safari it will suit you very well.

Day 07: Mana Pools – Matusadona National Park
After a short morning paddle you’ll leave your canoe trail and have a transfer back to Kariba. You will be transferred to Bumi Safari Lodge situated approximately 55-km south west of Kariba town. You may be a little tired and so can enjoy a good meal and a late game activity.

Day 08: In Matusadona National Park
Activities: The Lodge offers a variety of activities which include game viewing by Land Rover, on foot accompanied by a professional guide and by boat. The sunset cruise provides guests with wonderful photographic opportunities especially of the famous Kariba sunsets.

Days 9,10: Fly from Bumi Hills to Victoria Falls.
You will fly from Bumi Hills Safari Lodge to Victoria Falls airport, and on arrival you’ll be met and transferred to Victoria Falls Safari Lodge.

There is an evening dance troupe at the Victoria Falls Safari Lodge. The dancers are spectacular and, in the process of trying to out-dance each other, will provide you with an unforgettable evening as the trumpeting Kudu horns and rumbling drums – will become almost as familiar as the crash of the falls.

ACTIVITIES: Guided tours of Victoria Falls, cultural, museum and market tours, morning or evening game drives in Mosi-Oa-Tunya and morning or evening boat cruises on the Zambezi River. Victoria Falls is rated as one of the world’s top destinations for adrenaline and river activities. The most popular of these include (at an additional cost): seasonal white water rafting, bungee jumping, gorge swing, micro lighting over the Victoria Falls, brunch and breakfast canoe trips on the Zambezi and falls-edge dining.
